Annually, Edgewood College celebrates the life, legacy, and achievements of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during DREAM Week, and closes on the third Monday of January in honor of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.

In January 2015, the campus community celebrated DREAM Week by hosting the following events:

  2. Tuesday, 1/20, Open Mic with the Poetry Club, 11:30-1, Wingra Commons
  3. Tuesday, 1/20, Screening of the Message: True Accounts of Being a Black Student on a Majority White Campus, 5-7p, Anderson
  4. Wednesday, 1/21, Faculty & Staff Luncheon: What’s Race Got to Do With It Session #2, Washburn Heritage Room (closed event)
  5. Wednesday, 1/21, Screening of Dear White People, 7p, Anderson Auditorium
  6. Thursday, 1/22, Black History Read-In, 8:30a-4:30p, President’s Office
  7. Thursday, 1/22, Roundtable Discussion, 11:30a- 1:00p, President’s Conference Room
