Annually, Edgewood College celebrates the life, legacy, and achievements of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and closes on the third Monday of January in honor of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.

Beginning in the Winter of 2014, the Center for Diversity & Inclusion implemented a week-long celebration of MLK entitled, "DREAM Week."

Some of the core components of these activities that occur during the third week of January, include:

  1. Community Service
  2. MLK Basketball Game
  3. Unity Night
  4. Training for Faculty and Staff
  5. Inside EC: Multicultural Open House
  6. Black History Read-In and a Black Student Union Sit-In, in the President's Office
  7. MLK Student Leadership Award Banquet
